IAVANTE’s responsibility to the citizen is clear in each of the above activities even though this relationship may not be direct. IAVANTE regards organisations as dynamic bodies which carry out their activity in a specific context. This context is seen as a whole where all parts are in continuous interaction. Therefore, IAVANTE considers it has the social responsibility to contribute to the development and improvement of its environment on both a local and global level. As a sociohealthcare foundation, IAVANTE’S social actions take the form of projects related to citizen self-care and health training in the context of integrated healthcare plans and processes. The IAVANTE Foundation is also actively involved in the creation of technological environments to support health education in areas with special needs. IAVANTE also directs campaigns of a strong social nature at several levels of the public; these are intended to be continuous long-term projects. The Foundation acts as an observatory of the social reality of its environment (both near and far) by analysing the capacity for contributions of solidarity and motivating other organisations.
IAVANTE’s line of social action informs and encourages the collaboration of both the people and the organisations of its environment. It achieves this through different communication channels: using social media and by developing its own media with a view to establishing more personalised relations.
